“Thumbnail = f*ck?” Psick Univ, controversy over Jang Wonyoung episode’s thumbnail

Recently, several posts appeared on online communities criticizing the thumbnail for the Jang Wonyoung episode of Psick Univ’s “Psick Show”, which was released on May 5th.

Netizens criticized the thumbnail, suggesting that the show’s name “Psick” was intentionally positioned to appear as an “F” in the Jang Wonyoung episode.

Unlike other thumbnails featuring different celebrities where “PSICK” is prominently displayed next to the guests, Jang Wonyoung’s face is placed next to a slightly obscured “P”, making it seem like “F”, and “SI” is covered. Netizens argued that at a glance, it could be mistaken for “FUCK”.

Additionally, some noticed that the word “Show” written in red below appears partially obscured, making it look like “she”.

One foreigner commented, “I came here to say how disgusting it is that the thumbnail makes it look like ‘fuck’ behind her head. It’s genuinely repulsive.” Another foreigner remarked, “This episode is really fun, but the thumbnail text is somewhat uncomfortable.“

Netizens reacted negatively, saying, “They definitely did it on purpose“, “This is unpleasant“, “Why would they do that to a young girl“, “Comparing it with other thumbnails, it’s too obvious” and “Starship should sue.”

Psick Univ has not released any statement regarding this controversy.
